About the Program
Dads from Day One is a partnership with hospitals in Wayne County to help dads become involved with their child(ren) at birth. A strong bond between dad and his child will support the healthy growth and development of that child. As a father, it will be the most important relationship of your life.
Caseworker Services
A caseworker will link you to other agencies to assist you with your plans to be an involved father.
Services include:
- Free Job Skills Training
- Free Job Placement
- Free Career Planning
- Free GED Program
- Free Resume Writing
- Free Parenting Classes
- Free Counseling
Eligibility Requirements
To participate in the program, you must be able to answer yes to the following questions:
- Are you single?
- Is your yearly income less than $22,000?
- Was your child born at a Wayne County hospital within the last 12 months?
- Are both parents willing to be part of the program?
